Frequently Asked QuestionsWhere is your office located?Our office is located on the ground floor of the Chamberlain Student Center across from the mail room. what is meal equivalency?Giving you even more flexibility, Meal Equivalency allows a meal plan holder to dine at The Food Court, The Rec, Prof's and Jazzman's* and depending on the meal period, a certain amount of your meal is covered by your meal plan. If a purchase goes over the Meal Equivalency amount, the balance can be covered by cash, Dining Dollars, or Boro Bucks.
* Meal Equivalency is only accepted during breakfast period at Jazzman's. Where can I use boro bucks and dining dollars?Dining Dollars associated with meal plans can be used at all dining locations on-campus. Boro Bucks can be used at all on-campus dining locations and at off-campus locations that accept the Rowan card and have an agreement with the University. When can i use my block plan?Block plans are not restricted by meal periods, and may be used for family and friends when the card holder is present. Who is required to purchase a Meal Plan? All first year residence hall students are required to purchase either the All-Access or 14 meal plan for the fall semester. All other residence hall students must select from either the All-Access, 14, 10 or 7 meal plans. All students not residing in a residence hall may select any meal plan option. How does Rowan Dining Services deal with students with special dietary needs?We will work with any student with special dietary needs. We instruct these students to contact our management team. We can then meet with those students and work with our Chef to create meals that will work for that individual. Visit our Meet The Team page to get in contact with us! Can I purchase more Block Plans throughout the semester?Yes! You can purchase more Block Plan Meals at any time throughout the semester. You can do this at The Bursar's Office. If I am on a meal plan can I still use the RowanCard?Absolutely! Students can draw upon three accounts when using the RowanCard—the Meal Plan, Dining Dollars account and 'Boro Bucks account. Please be aware that Dining Dollars can only be used for food purchases on-campus ONLY. 'Boro Bucks can be used for food as well as any other purchase wherever the RowanCard is accepted. Where can I purchase a Meal Plan?You can purchase a meal plan at the Bursar's Office. Visit our Meal Plan page to look at your options. Bursar’s Office Once I purchase a meal plan, am I able to change it?Cancellations of the All-Access, 14, 10 and 7 Meal Plans are allowed except for students residing in a residence hall and are pro-rated, on a weekly basis, through the first two weeks only (similar to tuition and fees). Thereafter, there will be no refund for the remaining weeks. Students may change to a higher weekly plan (10,14 or All-Access) at any time (pro-rated after the 2nd week). The 25 and 50 block plan will be refunded on a meal remaining basis until the end of the third week after which there will be no refund for remaining unused meals. Students may purchase additional block plans throughout the semester if needed. Unspent Dining Dollars and Boro Bucks carry from semester to semester. You may change your Meal Plan (up or down) to a plan that suits you best during the first two weeks of the semester. If I run out of Dining Dollars or Boro Bucks, am I able to add more?Yes! If you find that you have used all of your Dining Dollars and Boro Bucks you can add more to your card at the Bursar's Office. Will I lose my Dining dollars and boro bucks if i do not use them by the end of the semester?No, you will not. Your Dining Dollars and Boro Bucks do roll over from semester to semester as well as from academic year to academic year. |
